Several years experience in mortgage collections, preferably in the Loss Mitigation area or equivalent field preferably at a credit union, bank or other financial institution. Must have loan workout experience including extensions, modifications, deeds in lieu and short sales. Organizational agility and good business acumen. Bachelors degree in the business field or similar field preferred.

-Manages loss situations though loan workout negotiations for member hardship and trouble debt restructuring requests.

-Coordinates revised loan terms/structure with lending department.

-Provides extensive loss analysis and recommendations related to all aspects of loss mitigation in support of departmental vision and current business objectives. 

-Responsible for outbound pro-active pursuit of loss mitigation cases from servicers and answering and processing inbound calls. 

-Serves as a back up to the Real Estate and Consumer Loan Underwriters. 

-Recommends appropriate resolutions on recovery loans including negotiating settlements, short sales, and repayment plans. 

-Heavily monitors loans in Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, & REO to ensure timely progression and minimize losses to the Credit Union.   

-Performs additional duties as required.
